Thank you for participating in our Homecoming Heroes of Purpose challenge to support Red Bird Christian School. Your gift was part of more than $200,000 raised during this campaign for our school. Alumni, friends and churches rose to the occasion by exceeding the $90,000 match offered by three generous alumni.
October 13th was a day of celebration as the generations of Red Bird School alumni gathered to visit with each other, share stories, meet current teachers and students, and recognize staff and alumni with special awards. Coach John D. Wilson was honored for his 27 years as athletic director and coach with the naming of the basketball court and the sharing of heartfelt testimonies.
We are especially grateful for our alumni that stepped forward and offered to match the gifts of others, thereby doubling the impact of our fund raising. A strong and active alumni involvement, along with the faithfulness of friends and churches, will ensure the continuation of a high quality education for our children.
Thank you for giving at this special time of homecoming. We need your continued support. The amount received during this challenge will help us fund approximately 6 weeks of education for our students. We need partners like you that value our school to consider giving on a monthly basis to create more financial stability for this venerable institution. If you are already giving monthly, we thank you, and would ask you to share the work of Red Bird School and help make other alumni and friends aware of our needs.
