School enrollment continues to climb at Red Bird Christian School. The excitement of welcoming old and new faces alike for the start of school this week continues to build for teachers and staff. Just a couple of years ago the school enrollment was 152 Kindergarten through 12th grade. Registrations indicate that well over 200 “Cardinals” in all grades will be welcomed with 100 hundred high school students expected to be roaming the halls when school begins Thursday morning, August 6th.
Some classes are expecting to be close to or at the set capacity of 25 per grade for the high school. Elementary enrollment is still fluctuating from grade to grade with a couple of classes below ten, but most will be around 15-20 for each grade.
Last school year, Dr. Collins set the goal of 250 for the school enrollment for the 2016-2017 year. At that time it seemed so far away from obtaining. The goal of 250 students could be a reality sooner than we thought. How amazing to think that in a few short years the school enrollment could increase by two-thirds since the cutbacks dropped enrollment to just over 150 students in 2010-2011.
As excited as the Mission is over the prospect of training up the next generation of Christian Leaders we also realize the magnitude of the calling. Partner with us through prayer that God is glorified in all that we do. Consider also partnering with us through our tuition assistance program. 90% of student cost is covered by contributions from individuals and groups looking to brighten the future of a child through a Christ centered education.
