Red Bird Mission is pleased to announce our new Director of Education and Principal Ms. Jennifer Wilder. Jennifer is a committed educator with a BA and an MA in Education from the University of Florida. She also has an MA in School Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University and her Rank I.
Mrs. Wilder met her husband, Allen Wilder, at Red Bird and together has built a life here in the mountains. The couple’s two children, Thomas and Annie, were born and raised in the Red Bird valley and educated at Red Bird Christian School.
Jennifer has been employed at Red Bird School since 1992. She has served as a teacher for 17 years including 4 years as a Reading Recovery/Resource Teacher. Since 2009 she has served as our Guidance Counselor and has been a member of the administrative team. She has worked with first year teachers as a KTIP Resource Teacher. Since 2006 she has served as the Chair of the School Improvement Committee.
With Jennifer’s leadership we will continue to strive to meet the goal of becoming a premier academic institution for students that “Enter to Learn”, and focus on development of Christian leadership skills that will impact His kingdom as they “Leave to Serve”.
