Heroes. Everybody has a hero at some point in life. This year, our elementary grades at Red Bird Christian School are focusing on how to be a hero to someone. Christian qualities and biblical examples are being lifted up to help our students strive to be like the greatest hero of all, Jesus Christ.

Many of our Alumni and Friends have faithfully supported our school to provide the quality academic and spiritual foundation necessary for our graduates to be successful once they leave our hallways for further education and service in our world . You are a Hero and we thank you for your faithfulness in giving. We know that many others would also like to become faithful givers and we challenge you to also become a Hero.

As we pause to think of what our graduates have accomplished in the fields of education, medicine, business, and Christian ministry, we also can see the eternal impact of these Christian graduates are making on people through their example of living. Imagine the potential that exists for the 250 children and youth at Red Bird Christian School to take their place alongside the  hundreds of Red Bird School heroes.

While we are not  in a financial crisis at Red Bird Christian School yet, we are concerned that giving to the school this year is down over previous years. We have been forced to use reserve funds this calendar year and cannot continue this practice. We need those that care about this school to continue their  financial support.

As we approach the Annual Homecoming at  the  school on October 14th, and a significant time of year for raising funds for the school, we ask you to step up to be a Homecoming Hero for our school. We are setting a goal of $200,000 this year for the 2017 Homecoming Heroes campaign. A group of Alumni and Friends have already stepped up to  be Homecoming Heroes by committing to match your gift dollar  for dollar.

Your support is needed to provide the financial foundation necessary to carry on Red Bird Christian School’s vital mission of forming Christian leaders. Take a moment now to examine what you can do to advance this mission, and return the enclosed card to us so that we know you are standing with us on October 14th. You can also use the card to make a pledge to be fulfilled during the school year. Let’s all be Red Bird Heroes.
